A protest erupted yesterday as a lady and her family demonstrated against Rev. Patricia Asiedua, widely known as Nana Agradaa, over accusations of theft and assault. The protest, led by a woman identified as Sarah, centers around the alleged theft of a pot of gold that belonged to her late grandmother.
Sarah recounted that her late grandmother, appreciative of Sarah’s loyal service, gifted her a pot full of gold before passing away.
Following her grandmother’s advice, Sarah sought prayers from Nana Agradaa for the gold. However, upon receiving the gold, Nana Agradaa demanded an initial payment of 1,000 cedis, which Sarah provided. Subsequently, Nana Agradaa requested an additional 4,000 cedis, a sum Sarah was unable to pay.
When Sarah failed to meet the additional financial demand, she asked for the return of her gold. Despite numerous attempts over the past few years, she has been unable to retrieve the gold from Nana Agradaa.
Feeling desperate and unheard, Sarah, accompanied by her family, organized the protest to draw attention to her plight and seek assistance from Ghanaian leaders and authorities.
The family’s demonstration has intensified calls for an investigation into Nana Agradaa’s practices and the alleged exploitation of her followers.
In the video she is heard wailing and calling upon Ghanaian authorities to help her retrieve her gold.
Ghanaian authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident, but the protest has certainly brought the issue into the spotlight, with many hoping for a swift and fair resolution to Sarah’s case.
