Evangelist Patricia Asiedu, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has responded strongly to critics following a recent encounter with NDC’s National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, that went viral on social media.
In a video shared online, Nana Agradaa addressed Ghanaians who have been dragging her over claims that she received money from the politician. According to her, the entire encounter was being blown out of proportion.
She explained that she met Sammy Gyamfi by chance while heading to another location and personally walked up to him to greet him. Despite her past public criticism of the NDC during previous election campaigns, she said Sammy Gyamfi warmly welcomed her.
Agradaa admitted she was initially unsure of how he would receive her, considering her vocal stance against his party in the past. However, the interaction turned out to be far more pleasant than she expected, and she was surprised by his friendly demeanor.
Addressing rumors that money exchanged hands during the meeting, she downplayed its significance, saying the amount people were discussing was not meaningful to her, suggesting it was too small to be worth the fuss.
The evangelist urged Ghanaians to stop fueling unnecessary drama and emphasized that the situation had been misunderstood. Her video has since sparked further debate, with some supporting her clarification while others continue to question the motives behind the meeting.
Agradaa’s remarks come amid growing scrutiny over the ties between religious figures and political players, especially as the country approaches another election cycle.
