Ghanaian actress Nana Ama McBrown has sparked widespread conversation online after a video showed her confronting bloggers over what she described as intrusive behavior at a high-profile event.

The confrontation occurred during the 60th birthday celebration of businessman Ernest Ofori Sarpong, Chairman of the Special Group of Companies. The event, held on May 5, 2026, brought together prominent figures from Ghana’s entertainment, business, and political scenes.

A viral clip from the event shows McBrown addressing a group of bloggers who had gathered around her with cameras.

In the video, the actress expressed frustration over what she sees as a one-sided relationship between celebrities and bloggers.

She argued that while bloggers frequently capture and share content of celebrities at events, they often fail to support their commercial work.

“You see me selling American fresh detergent and McBrown sunflower. When you see me at Kantamanto and Kejetia selling, you see the videos on social media, but you don’t repost them,” she said.

Tensions escalated when some bloggers attempted to interrupt her, prompting a sharp response.

“You people should shut up! When we spend money to dress well and look good to attend programs, then you want to ‘enter our noses’ with your cameras,” she said.

McBrown further warned that she would not tolerate similar behavior in the future.

“If you cannot repost my work, this should be the last time you bloggers swarm me at an event. Next time, I would hit someone,” she added.

The incident has drawn mixed reactions online. Many have praised the actress for speaking out about privacy and respect, while others believe the situation could have been handled more calmly.
