The Ashanti Regional Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Yandoh, has called for Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh to be retained as the party’s vice-presidential candidate alongside Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for the 2024 general elections.
Speaking in an interview with Kwesi Parker Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Paul Yandoh said Dr Opoku Prempeh deserves another opportunity to continue in the role, citing his experience, loyalty, and contribution to the party’s campaign.
“NAPO also deserves a second chance as Dr Bawumia’s running mate,” Mr Yandoh stated, stressing that continuity within the ticket would strengthen the party’s chances in the 2024 elections.
He noted that Dr Opoku Prempeh brings significant political experience, having served in key ministerial positions, and argued that his pairing with Dr Bawumia offers the NPP a balanced and credible leadership team.
