In a recent interview, the 2024 vice-presidential candidate described his support for Bawumia as unwavering, stating that backing another contender would amount to betrayal. NAPO credited Bawumia for choosing him as running mate despite internal resistance from party bigwigs, and said that loyalty demands he stand by the former vice president.

While acknowledging his personal ties to other aspirants — including Kennedy Agyapong, whom he referred to as a close friend — NAPO maintained that Bawumia is the most capable leader to steer the NPP forward. He praised Bawumia’s resilience, vision, and ability to unify the party, describing him as the standout candidate among those vying for the position.
