Kunle Remi is a Nigerian actor

American streamer and YouTuber, IShowSpeed, is on the final leg of a 28-day tour of Africa aimed at showcasing the continent’s cultural diversity.

He has visited Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Egypt, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

However, Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has ranked Nigeria as the worst country Speed visited on his tour.

In a post on his Instagram story, Kunle Remi claimed Lagos, the capital of Nigeria, has lost its cultural essence, also alleging that all Nigeria can boast of currently is fake alcoholic drinks and people begging on the street.

“After watching IShowSpeed’s journey so far, Nigeria is the worst on my own list. We just really stripped Lagos naked. No be say anything dey under the clothes before sha. Seems like we’ve lost the essence of culture. Our truth! All we have is fake drinks, club & beggy beggy skills,” he wrote.

Speed’s visit to Nigeria broke a major streaming record after his YouTube channel crossed 50 million subscribers while he was live in Lagos traffic, making him the first Black individual creator to hit that milestone.

IShowSpeed’s tour across southern, eastern, western, and northern Africa began in Angola in late December.

He attended the Africa Cup of Nations final in Morocco on January 18, 2026, then moved to Senegal, where he celebrated the national team’s victory with fans, and to Nigeria, where he crossed the 50 million subscriber mark and celebrated his 21st birthday.

On January 26, 2026, he arrived in Ghana, where he tried jollof rice, met a traditional ruler, was honoured with royal kente regalia, received a Ghanaian name, enjoyed a massage at the Shea Butter Museum, visited the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Black Star Square, among others, before departing for Namibia on January 27, 2026.
