THE organisers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, Charterhouse have officially closed the nominations process for the 27th edition of the awards scheme

.And after reviewing all concerns and petitions,  the nominees list remains unchanged.

In a statement shared with Graphic Showbiz, the TGMA Board confirmed that the final stage of nominations has been completed after a one-week “Errors and Omissions” window.

The window allowed artistes, management teams and industry stakeholders to report issues such as wrong song credits, incorrect category placements, and possible omissions of eligible works.

According to the Board, the review process was handled carefully and fairly, following all the scheme’s guidelines.

“The Board confirms that all submissions received within the review period were duly examined with the utmost diligence and fairness,” part of the statement said.

The statement also noted that most of the concerns raised focused on category placement, eligibility and inclusion in certain award categories. However, none of the issues warranted changes to the final list.

The Board expressed appreciation to industry players and stakeholders for their feedback and continued support, describing their contributions as important to maintaining the credibility of the awards scheme.

It also reaffirmed its commitment to fairness and integrity in administering the awards, while working to promote Ghanaian music on the global stage.

With the nominations process now concluded, the scheme is expected to move into the voting phase, where fans will support their favourite artistes ahead of the main awards ceremony.

Notable acts vying for the topmost Artiste of the Year  honour this year include Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, Diana Hamilton, Medikal, Wendy Shay and Sarkodie.
