According to the OSP, the portion of the probe relating to Dr Sledge involves transactions approximating US$94 million.

The office further disclosed that in 2025, it froze vehicles belonging to the businessman valued at GH¢18 million.

“The aspects of the investigation involving Dr. Sledge approximates to USD 94 million. In 2025, the OSP froze assets in the form of vehicles belonging to Dr Sledge valued at GHC18 million. In January 2026 the High Court refused to confirm the asset freezing,” it indicated.

The OSP, however, stated that it has taken legal steps to nullify the refusal and to re-secure the assets, which it said remain under its authority and preservation in the public interest.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor further indicated that it is continuing asset tracing operations to identify and freeze additional properties suspected to be tainted.

“The OSP took legal steps intended at nullifying the refusal of confirmation. The OSP also took steps to re-secure and freeze the assets. The assets remain frozen and are under the authority, protection, and preservation of the OSP in the public interest, as the Office continues its tracing operations to identify and freeze additional assets suspected to be tainted,” it concluded.

Background reports indicated that the court dismissed the OSP’s application for confirmation of the asset freeze, citing a lack of evidence of corruption or misappropriation against Goldridge.
