She pointed out that his situation is not unique, claiming many male musicians in Ghana are struggling financially. The outspoken media figure even included top-tier names like Sarkodie in her assessment, saying some of these artistes are facing serious money issues due to lack of opportunities.
Afia suggested that female celebrities have certain advantages that male counterparts lack, particularly when it comes to monetizing personal relationships — a luxury, she implied, male celebrities don’t often have.
She made it clear that the industry’s economic realities are pushing many male entertainers to the edge, and the signs are beginning to show publicly.
