Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has revealed why her past relationships never worked out, admitting she has never dated a man wealthier than herself. Speaking on her podcast, the screen star explained that although she isn’t materialistic, she often found herself shouldering her own responsibilities while in relationships.
According to her, she has dated “down” three times and has now decided not to repeat that pattern. Nkechi, popularly called NBS, recently ended her relationship with Delta-born entertainer Xxssive, which began in 2021 after her split from politician Opeyemi Falegan. She clarified earlier this year that there was no animosity between her and Xxssive despite their separation.
The single mother of one has since moved on and in July introduced her new partner, describing him as the love of her life. She confessed that although she once vowed never to reveal her partner publicly, she couldn’t resist showing him off, calling him her “Odogwu” and “sponsor.” Nkechi credited him for bringing happiness and stability into her life and declared her intention to love him for the rest of her days.
