North Dayi Member of Parliament, Hon. Joycelyn Tetteh Quarahie, has commissioned a newly constructed four-unit nurses’ quarters at Tsrukpe in the Volta Region, aimed at addressing the long-standing accommodation challenges faced by health workers in the area.

The facility, strategically located close to the health center, is expected to significantly improve living conditions for nurses and enhance the delivery of quality healthcare services to residents of Tsrukpe and surrounding communities.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Quarahie emphasized that the project forms part of her broader commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure across the constituency.

She noted that the lack of decent accommodation for nurses has been a major factor affecting staff retention and timely healthcare delivery, particularly in rural communities. According to her, providing safe and comfortable housing for nurses is essential to motivating health professionals and ensuring they remain within the communities they serve.

The four-unit nurses’ quarters was warmly welcomed by traditional leaders, health officials, and community members, who expressed gratitude to the MP for her responsive leadership. The commissioning marks another milestone in efforts to improve healthcare delivery in North Dayi, reinforcing the MP’s dedication to the wellbeing of her constituents.
