NPP China and Belgium Branches Donate to the Patriotic Institute

The donations were formally received by Alhaji Haruna Mohammed, Deputy General Secretary

The Patriotic Institute on Thursday, February 19, 2026, received donations from two NPP external branches. The gesture represents an important advancement in the Institute’s ongoing efforts to promote political education, research, and capacity development across the party.

The NPP China Branch, led by Dr Michael Amponsah, and the NPP Belgium Branch, chaired by Solomon Agyin (King Solomon), made generous contributions toward strengthening the Institute’s nationwide training programmes and strategic development initiatives.

In addition to their financial donation, the NPP China Branch pledged to provide branded learning materials, including pens, notepads, T-shirts, and other essential resources. These items will support upcoming workshops and capacity-building programmes by improving participant engagement.

The donations were formally received by Alhaji Haruna Mohammed, Deputy General Secretary, who represented the General Secretary. He commended both branches for their continued dedication to enhancing the party’s intellectual and grassroots development efforts.

Also present was Kwame Kyeretwie Amponsah, Director of External Affairs, along with the management team of the Patriotic Institute led by Dr Antoinette Tsiboe-Darko.

Dr Tsiboe-Darko expressed deep appreciation to the China and Belgium branches, noting that their contributions will significantly expand the Institute’s capacity to deliver quality training modules, digital skills programmes, and leadership development initiatives.

Stephen Forson, Deputy Director of IT for the NPP and Programmes Coordinator at the Patriotic Institute, reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to providing intensive training for party members at all levels, including those within the external branches.

He emphasised the important role external branches play in both national and diaspora-based campaigns and highlighted plans to formally include them in the Institute’s annual training calendar.

The Patriotic Institute remains committed to serving as a central hub for research, training, and strategic development within the party.

The donations from the China and Belgium branches reflect the continued strengthening of collaboration between the party and its diaspora chapters and mark another meaningful step toward building knowledge, expanding capacity, and inspiring effective leadership.
