NPP Insider Blows the Lid Off Alleged Plot Against Kennedy Agyapong

An internal rift appears to be widening within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as party member Alex Tetteh raises red flags about the motives behind the ongoing “Thank You Tour” for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to Tetteh, the event, presented as a show of appreciation, is being strategically used to promote Bawumia’s personal image ahead of the upcoming elections.

Tetteh, who has aligned himself with Kennedy Agyapong’s camp, disclosed that high-ranking party officials had previously expressed intentions to undermine Agyapong’s political ambitions.

He revealed a past conversation with the party’s General Secretary, who allegedly admitted plans to ensure Agyapong’s defeat in the party primaries due to his outspoken criticism of NPP leadership.

He argues that the current tour, although publicly framed as a gesture of gratitude, is more about pushing Dr. Bawumia’s political brand than benefiting the broader party.

In his view, the initiative lacks neutrality and appears to favor one individual over others who have shown strong commitment to the party, such as Agyapong.

Tetteh’s comments hint at deeper divisions within the NPP, particularly surrounding the fallout from the party’s internal contest leading up to the 2024 elections.

With trust and unity appearing to erode behind closed doors, these revelations are likely to intensify scrutiny of the party’s internal operations and leadership strategies.
