Former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Mac Manu, has dismissed claims that the party is collapsing, asserting that it remains strong and poised to win power again.
Speaking to the media, at party’s headquarters, Mac Manu emphasized the party’s electoral track record, noting that the NPP has won 4 out of 9 elections, while the NDC has won 5 times.
He expressed dismay at media reports suggesting the party is in decline, stating, “I sometimes felt sad because the media behaved as though the NPP has not won the election before.”
“We have gone for 9 elections and we have won 4. But media are saying NPP is collapsing, but it’s not.” Mac Manu’s comments aim to reassure party supporters and counter perceptions of weakness.
