NPP sets GHC 50,000 Nomination fee for National Chairman aspirants

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the nomination fees for its upcoming national executive elections.

According to General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the fees are as follows:
– National Chairman: 50,000 Ghana Cedis
– Vice Chairpersons: 30,000 Ghana Cedis
– General Secretary: 25,000 Ghana Cedis (for those challenging the incumbent)

Addressing a press conference, Frimpong urged aspirants to focus on issues-based campaigns, avoiding unsubstantiated allegations, personal attacks, and mudslinging.

Exceptions include races for Nasara, women, and persons with disabilities, with a reduced fee of 8,000 Ghana Cedis.

The National Executive Committee, in consultation with the General Secretary, will release detailed guidelines for the elections.

All aspirants are expected to adhere to a code of conduct, including avoiding activities that polarize the party along tribal, religious, or other divisive lines, and ensuring their supporters do the same.
