The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the nomination fees for its upcoming national executive elections.
According to General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the fees are as follows:
– National Chairman: 50,000 Ghana Cedis
– Vice Chairpersons: 30,000 Ghana Cedis
– General Secretary: 25,000 Ghana Cedis (for those challenging the incumbent)
Addressing a press conference, Frimpong urged aspirants to focus on issues-based campaigns, avoiding unsubstantiated allegations, personal attacks, and mudslinging.
Exceptions include races for Nasara, women, and persons with disabilities, with a reduced fee of 8,000 Ghana Cedis.
The National Executive Committee, in consultation with the General Secretary, will release detailed guidelines for the elections.
All aspirants are expected to adhere to a code of conduct, including avoiding activities that polarize the party along tribal, religious, or other divisive lines, and ensuring their supporters do the same.
