NPP Visits NDC to Condemn Toxic Comments After Deadly Helicopter Crash

In a rare demonstration of political solidarity, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) reached out to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following the tragic helicopter crash on August 6, 2025, which claimed eight lives, including high-ranking government officials.

An NPP delegation, led by General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua, visited the NDC headquarters in Accra on Tuesday to express condolences to party members and President John Dramani Mahama. During the visit, Mr. Frimpong Kodua condemned inappropriate remarks circulating online from individuals claiming allegiance to the NPP, calling them divisive and damaging to Ghana’s democracy.

The NPP emphasized the importance of a thorough, transparent, and swift investigation into the crash, highlighting the need for accountability and measures to prevent similar tragedies in the future. Party officials also encouraged citizens to unite in prayer and provide support to the grieving families affected by the incident.
