The National Service Authority (NSA) has partnered with the 24-Hour Economy Secretariat to boost local poultry production and create jobs for the youth.
As part of efforts to strengthen collaboration on Ghana’s agricultural and economic agenda, the Deputy Director-General for Programmes and Operations at the NSA, Lieutenant Colonel Moses Dok Nach Kpeungu, engaged officials from the Secretariat.
The engagement included a working tour of the NSA PAPAO Poultry Farm, where the delegation observed ongoing activities aimed at scaling up domestic poultry production.
The initiative is expected to contribute significantly to job creation and enhance national food security.
According to the NSA, the visit highlights its commitment to translating strategic partnerships into practical outcomes by moving from policy discussions to on-the-ground implementation.
“The collaboration between the NSA and the 24-Hour Economy Secretariat underscores a shared vision to leverage agriculture as a key driver of economic growth while empowering the youth through sustainable employment opportunities,” the NSA said.
The PAPAO Poultry Farm forms part of the NSA’s broader interventions to equip national service personnel with agribusiness skills and support the government’s import substitution agenda.
The 24-Hour Economy Secretariat was established to drive productivity and job creation by extending business operations and key services beyond traditional working hours.
