Pastor Love, the former husband of renowned Ghanaian gospel singer Obaapa Christy, has been sentenced to four years in prison for his involvement in a fraudulent scheme that led to the deception of a close associate.
The incident, which dates back to 2017, recently concluded with a court ruling that found Pastor Love guilty of dishonesty and misconduct.
The case revolved around a vehicle shipped to Ghana by Pastor Love’s friend, who had initially requested that the pastor sell the car on his behalf.
Midway through the process, however, the friend changed his mind and instructed Pastor Love to hold off on the sale, intending to retrieve the car personally upon his return to the country.
Upon his arrival in Ghana, the friend was met with a shocking revelation—Pastor Love had already sold the car, despite the explicit instructions to wait.
Feeling deceived, the victim pursued legal action, which led to a lengthy court battle. After years of deliberation, the court reached a verdict, finding Pastor Love guilty of fraud.
The judge handed down a four-year prison sentence, marking the end of the long-standing legal dispute.
This outcome has garnered significant attention due to Pastor Love’s previous standing within the gospel music community and his marriage to Obaapa Christy, further raising eyebrows within both religious and public circles.
