The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Akyem Oda, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has donated mathematical sets worth GH¢50,000 to 1,549 final year students participating in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The beneficiaries were drawn from 43 public and private Junior High Schools in the constituency

Accompanied by the Birim Central Municipal Director of Education, Gloria Aggrey-Kelson, the MP presented the mathematical sets to the pupils and gave the rest to the staff of the
Municipal Education Directorate to continue with the presentation.
Mr Acquah promised to offer full scholarships to any pupil in the constituency who would obtain eight ones in the BECE.
The MP also arranged for special accommodation and feeding at Oda Senior High School for pupils from communities outside Oda at his own expense.
He gave an assurance that he would provide chop boxes for all pupils from the constituency who would gain admission to Senior High Schools.
Mr Acquah admonished the pupils to refrain from examination malpractices, which could land them in trouble when caught.
Mrs Aggrey-Kelson was grateful to Mr Acquah for his commitment to education development in the constituency.
