Okatakyie Afrifa Accuses Pastor Oduro of Playing Favourites with Ghanaian Leaders

Okatakyie Afrifa, the popular host of the “For The Records” show on social media, has released a video that has quickly captured the attention of Ghanaians.

The video focuses on his criticism of Prophet Kofi Oduro, a well-known Ghanaian pastor, accusing him of being inconsistent in his comments about the country’s leadership.

During his live show on May 7, 2025, Afrifa played a clip of Prophet Oduro urging Ghanaians to pray for President John Dramani Mahama, citing the challenges of leading the nation, which consists of 16 regions and 276 constituencies.

Oduro explained that managing a country’s affairs is far more difficult than managing a household, pointing out that some people even struggle with tasks like paying rent or fixing light bulbs. His message of empathy for Mahama was clear.

However, Afrifa used this moment to highlight what he viewed as a double standard. He reminded his audience that when former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was in power, Prophet Oduro had sharply criticized him for mismanaging the economy and making life harder for Ghanaians.

Afrifa argued that if Oduro could now acknowledge the difficulties of leading the country, he should not have been so harsh on Akufo-Addo during his tenure.

This video has sparked heated discussions across social media, with many Ghanaians expressing divided opinions.

Some support Afrifa, claiming that the prophet should have been more consistent in his views, while others believe that pastors have a right to speak out when things go wrong in the country.
