Okatakyie Afrifa, the outspoken broadcaster who’s recently made headlines for his fiery exchange with Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu, has decided to let go of the drama.
In the latest edition of his show For The Records, Afrifa revealed that he has no plans to engage in any further back-and-forth with the actor, despite public expectations that he would hit back hard after being challenged.
According to him, although he previously threatened to “slap sense” into Kwaku Manu, he has since received several calls from respected figures in the media space, urging him to take the high road.
Afrifa named Rashad, CEO of Gh Page, and King Asu B of the Rash Hour crew, as two of the key individuals who reached out to de-escalate the tension. Their advice, he said, made him reconsider his approach.
Out of the deep respect he holds for them, Okatakyie says he’s stepping away from the conflict altogether—despite the provocations that followed his initial warning.
