OmniBSIC Bank has relocated its Kejetia branch in Kumasi to a new, purpose-built facility at the Osons Chemist Building, a move the bank says is aimed at improving customer experience and strengthening its presence in one of Ghana’s busiest commercial districts.

The relocation places the branch closer to the heart of the Kejetia business enclave, home to the Kumasi Central Market, which is regarded as the largest single market in West Africa. The area hosts thousands of traders and attracts tens of thousands of buyers daily, making it a key hub for high-volume commercial activity in the Ashanti Region.

Speaking at the soft opening of the relocated branch, the Divisional Head of Marketing at OmniBSIC Bank, Dr Bernice Asamoah, said the decision to move was driven by the bank’s commitment to delivering service excellence and aligning its physical infrastructure with its broader growth ambitions.

“The relocation of our Kejetia branch is more than a change of address, it is a tangible reflection of our commitment to excellence. As we advance toward becoming a tier one Bank, our physical infrastructure must match the quality of the financial solutions we provide. This new branch ensures that the vibrant Kejetia business community feels valued, supported, and experiences firsthand why we are truly ‘Not Just Another Bank.’ Every interaction here is designed to reinforce that promise,” she said.

The new branch offers expanded floor space, improved accessibility and modern digital service points, which the bank believes will ease congestion and enhance the speed of transactions for traders and customers who rely heavily on daily banking services.

The Zonal Manager for Ashanti Central, Samuel Duncan, said the relocation was a strategic response to the commercial importance of Kejetia and the operational demands of businesses in the area. He noted that the previous location had limitations that affected service delivery, particularly during peak trading hours.

“Kejetia is the pulse of commerce in Kumasi, and this new branch ensures we keep pace. With more space, better accessibility, and faster service, we are removing bottlenecks and empowering traders to focus on what they do best, growing their businesses. OmniBSIC is here to make banking seamless, efficient, and truly supportive for the market community,” he said.

He added that the improved facility positions the bank to better support small and medium scale enterprises as well as retail customers, reinforcing OmniBSIC’s role as a preferred financial partner within the Kumasi metropolis.

The relocation comes on the back of what the bank describes as strong financial performance and ongoing investments in infrastructure, technology and staff capacity, as it pursues growth and customer centricity across its national branch network.
