The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has summoned prominent journalist and former Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) Board Chairman, Paul Adom-Otchere, to assist in a corruption investigation linked to a controversial revenue assurance contract.
The summons, issued in a letter dated July 25, 2025, lists Adom-Otchere as a suspect in the ongoing probe into suspected corruption and related offences involving a deal between GACL and a private firm. The contract in question reportedly involved auditing revenue streams at the state-owned company.
He has been instructed to appear before investigators at the OSP’s South Ridge office on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
Confirming receipt of the letter, Adom-Otchere told Myjoyonline.com that his legal team has responded, requesting a rescheduled date of Monday, August 4, as they are currently tied up in court proceedings in Kumasi.
Despite confirming the OSP’s invitation, the media personality expressed disbelief at being treated as a suspect, questioning why he, as a former board chairman, is under scrutiny when the contract in question was executed under the watch of the current management team, including the managing director.
The investigation has stirred public attention, with many awaiting further developments in what appears to be another high-profile anti-corruption case from the OSP.
