President Mahama emphasised that these gains reflect a strengthening and more resilient economy.
“We are moving decisively from planning to action on our flagship 24-Hour Economy,” he added.
He further highlighted improvements in Ghana’s external sector, reporting that by December 2025, the current account recorded a surplus of $9.1 billion, equivalent to 8.1% of GDP, up from 1.8% in 2024.
The President attributed the positive trends to robust performance in gold, cocoa, and non-traditional exports, as well as increased remittance inflows, describing the developments as evidence of renewed economic resilience.
The State of the Nation Address is in accordance with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution.
It sets out the government’s priorities, policy direction, and its legislative and development agenda for the year ahead.
