The fire reportedly broke out around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2026, destroying vehicles, engines, and other valuable properties belonging to the mechanics.

The flames spread rapidly due to the presence of tyres, rubber materials, upholstery items, and various car spare parts.

Shop owners and workers were left devastated, as their tools and main source of livelihood were reduced to ashes.

Firefighters later arrived at the scene and managed to bring the fire under control. However, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be officially confirmed.
