The Ghana Education Service (GES) has moved quickly to dispel circulating claims suggesting that the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results have been released. The unverified press statement, which quickly went viral across social media platforms, caused widespread confusion and anxiety among students, parents, and schools.
In an official post on its verified Facebook page, GES emphasized that the information is false and that no results or candidate postings have been made available at this time. Authorities are urging all students, guardians, and the public to rely solely on updates from official channels to avoid being misled by fraudulent messages.
This year, a total of 603,328 candidates registered for the BECE nationwide, comprising 306,078 female candidates and 297,250 male candidates. The examinations, which commenced on June 11, 2025, and concluded on June 17, 2025, were conducted across the country under strict supervision and standard examination protocols.
GES also highlighted the importance of remaining patient, noting that the evaluation process is still ongoing. The Service reassured the public that the release of the results would follow the standard verification and moderation procedures to ensure fairness, accuracy, and transparency. Schools and parents have been asked to prepare to access the official results through the recognized GES portals once they are officially published.
