The Ghana Passport Application Center (PAC) has announced the resumption of passport printing following a hiatus caused by technical challenges that slowed operations in recent weeks.
In a statement issued on April 20, the Office confirmed that the technical issue has been resolved and printing has fully resumed.
The glitch had resulted in a backlog of applications, but officials say work is underway to clear pending passports.
“We are printing all your passports…The issue has been resolved, and printing has resumed. Your passport will soon be delivered to you by courier at the comfort of your address at no extra cost,” the statement said.
The Passport Office apologised for the inconvenience caused to applicants during the disruption and thanked the public for their patience.
It further assured applicants that service timelines remain unchanged despite the delay. The 24-hour expedited service for GH¢2,000 and the standard 15-day service for GH¢350 will be delivered as promised.
It assured applicants that all completed passports will be delivered directly via courier at no additional charge, as part of the Office’s ongoing delivery system.
The Passport Office urged applicants awaiting their documents to monitor their contact numbers and addresses for delivery updates.
