Police arrest three over series of robberies in Greater Accra

The Ghana Police Service, through the Special Support Unit, has arrested three suspects in connection with a string of robbery incidents reported in Afienya, Atadeka, Apollonia, and surrounding communities in the Greater Accra Region.

The suspects, identified as Seth Noi Tetteh, also known as “Wonder”, Selasie Emmanuel, and Sulemana Osman, were arrested on December 24 and December 26, 2025, following intelligence gathered by the Police.

Preliminary investigations revealed that suspect Seth Noi Tetteh was initially arrested at the Atadeka Police Station for his alleged involvement in multiple robbery cases within the area.

During interrogation, he admitted participating in several robberies across Afienya, Atadeka, Apollonia, Spintex Road, Airport Residential Area, Community 18, Ashaiman, Mataheko, and Oyibi. He further disclosed that he operated with accomplices.

Based on this information, police intelligence led a team to Kasoa Ofankor on December 26, 2025, where suspects Selasie Emmanuel and Sulemana Osman were arrested at their hideout.

A search conducted at the residence resulted in the retrieval of one pump-action gun, one BB cartridge, one Bruni pistol, and three rounds of ammunition, all of which have been secured as exhibits to aid ongoing investigations.

The three suspects are currently in police custody assisting investigations, as police intensify efforts to dismantle the robbery network and apprehend any remaining accomplices.
