Police Arrest Two in Wa Over Serial Robberies and Motorbike Thefts

Two men believed to be behind a series of robberies and motorbike thefts in Wa have been remanded into police custody after appearing before the Wa District Court.

The suspects, identified as Abdulai Ibrahim, aged 34, and 36-year-old Kipo Ibrahim, had reportedly been on the police’s wanted list for some time. Their arrest took place on March 29, 2025, following a police operation that led to their capture at a hideout within the municipality.

Authorities revealed in court that the two had been linked to multiple theft and robbery incidents in the Danko and Napogbakole areas.

Their arrest brought relief to residents who had raised concerns over increasing cases of stolen motorbikes in recent months.

A thorough search of the suspects’ hideout yielded significant evidence.

Police recovered seven motorbikes suspected to have been stolen, along with three number plates bearing registration numbers M-24-UW 4134, M-21-UW 6468, and M-20-UW 2846.

The court has directed that Abdulai and Kipo be kept in custody while investigations continue. Their next appearance has been scheduled for Monday, April 28, 2025.
