Another suspect, identified as Abdul Aziz Iddrisu, also known as Baaluuse, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service in connection with the killing of a police officer at Zebilla in the Upper East Region.
This follows an earlier arrest by the police during investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
In a statement issued by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on February 17, 2026, the police revealed that Abdul Aziz Iddrisu was apprehended on the same day during a joint intelligence-led operation at his hideout in Polego, a suburb of Bolgatanga.
“The Ghana Police Service has arrested an additional suspect in connection with the murder of a police officer at Zebilla in the Upper East Region,” the statement said.
According to police, items retrieved from the suspect include three mobile phones, which are currently undergoing forensic analysis as part of ongoing investigations.

Authorities further indicated that the suspect had been captured in videos displaying weapons believed to be linked to criminal activities in the area.
Police say a special operation is underway to locate and retrieve the weapons and arrest other accomplices connected to the case.

The CID confirmed that the suspect remains in custody and is assisting with investigations.
“The suspect is currently in Police custody assisting investigations, and further updates will be communicated,” the statement concluded.
The development marks the latest progress in efforts by security agencies to bring the perpetrators of the Zebilla police officer’s murder to justice.
