Police officers interdicted over disruption of voter registration exercise by galamseyers

The Ghana Police Service has taken decisive action against three police officers, Inspector Michael Addo, G/CONST. Eric Boakye, and G/CONST. Michael Gyan, interdicting them and relieving them of their suties with immediate effect.

This action follows their alleged failure to perform their duty professionally during a disruption of the ongoing Limited Voter Registration Exercise at the Electoral Commission Office in Adugyama, Ashanti Region.

Reports indicate that chaos erupted at the Electoral Commission Office when a group of individuals, purportedly from the Ahwerewam galamsey sites, stormed the premises wielding guns and cutlasses.
