The police have commenced investigations into the violence that marred the District Schools Athletics Games in Agona Swedru in the Central Region last week.
It followed the circulation of an alleged attack on a student of Obrachire Senior High Technical School by students from Swedru School of Business.
In a statement issued on Monday, it said, “The Ghana Police Service has sighted a viral video in which a group of people are seen pelting stones at a student.”
While condemning the incident, the police said further developments will be communicated in due course.
“The Service strongly condemns the violence and assures the public that all perpetrators will be identified and brought to justice,” it said.
