The Ghana Police Service has recovered a stolen Toyota Hilux pick-up and other exhibits following an intelligence-led operation into a residential robbery incident that occurred on December 4, 2025.

The operation led to the identification of a key suspect linked to the attack.

According to a statement signed by Chief Inspector Brigitte Babanawo, Public Relations Officer of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), armed men attacked a female complainant in her room and made away with her Toyota Hilux pick-up vehicle, an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and other personal belongings.

Following sustained intelligence gathering, police tracked down a suspect identified as Clement Kofi Aidoo, also known by the aliases Joseph Abequaye, Yaw, and Paddy.

During an attempt to arrest him, the suspect reportedly attacked the officers. Police returned fire, injuring him in the process.
