John Dramani Mahama is the President of Ghana
President John Dramani Mahama is set to present the 2026 State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Parliament on Friday, February 27, 2026.
He will deliver the address in accordance with the constitutional requirement under Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution, which mandates the president to appear before Parliament at the beginning of each session to report on the state of the nation.
The president is expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the country’s current situation, evaluating progress made so far and outlining the government’s key priorities and major policy directions for the year ahead.
Critical sectors, including the economy, health, education, agriculture, and infrastructure, are anticipated to feature prominently, alongside reflections on Ghana’s international relations and global commitments.
