In a recent interview, the Ankwanobi hitmaker revealed that President Mahama has been taking care of him since he fell ill.
According to the veteran musician, the president provides him with monthly financial support to help cater for his medical expenses, along with other forms of assistance.
“Since I became ill, President Mahama has been supporting me with gifts, including money for medication every month. You can confirm this from Mr Beautiful, who brings the money to me,” JA Adofo stated.
He was quick to stress that the support is purely an act of kindness, noting that he is not politically affiliated and that there is no hidden agenda behind the president’s generosity.
“I am not involved in politics at all, but he likes me and supports me out of goodwill,” he said.
JA Adofo also touched on the passing of his child, explaining that although he would normally have invited President Mahama to the burial, he chose not to, out of respect for the demands of the president’s office.
“He is the father of the nation, and I understand the responsibilities on his shoulders. I wouldn’t want to disturb him. But I am confident that if he hears about my child’s burial, he would definitely come to support me,” he added.
