President Mahama dancing with Prof Opoku-Agyemang at Presidential Nine Lessons and Carols
A heartwarming moment unfolded at the Presidential Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols when First Lady Lordina Mahama gently prompted President John Dramani Mahama to share a dance with Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
The moment, captured in a viral video, occurred during a musical performance by Kojo Antwi at the carols held at the Presidency on Friday, December 20, 2025.
In the footage, President Mahama and Lordina Mahama are first seen dancing together. After a while, the First Lady is seen encouraging the President to step onto the dance floor, where he briefly danced with the Vice President, drawing smiles and applause from the audience.
The Presidential Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols brought together staff of the Presidency, government officials, and invited guests to reflect on the Christmas message through scripture readings and music.
The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a traditional Christian service observed during the Christmas season. It features nine Bible readings that trace the story of humanity’s fall and the birth of Jesus Christ, interspersed with the singing of carols and hymns.
