Prophet Kumchacha Rejects Claims Linking Agradaa’s Imprisonment to Fatal Crash

In the wake of the tragic military helicopter crash on August 6, 2025, which claimed the lives of eight high-profile Ghanaians, Prophet Kumchacha has publicly denounced a wave of prophetic claims that have emerged, describing many of them as reckless and devoid of spiritual or logical foundation.

Speaking on United Showbiz on August 9, 2025, the Kumasi-based preacher expressed strong disapproval of what he called “absurd predictions” linked to the tragedy. He cited Ezekiel 13 from the Bible, which warns against false and misguided prophets, to underscore the dangers of spreading unverified revelations.

One prophecy that particularly drew Kumchacha’s ire involved the claim that the fatal crash was connected to the incarceration of Nana Agradaa, founder of the Heavens Way Church. The preacher in question allegedly suggested that unless Agradaa were released, Ghana could face further catastrophic events of a similar nature.

Kumchacha rejected the assertion outright, stating that it demonstrated poor judgment and a lack of spiritual discernment. “There are too many individuals claiming prophetic insight, yet their statements are senseless. The Bible cautions against such misguided prophets. Linking a national tragedy to the imprisonment of one person is not only illogical, but it is also spiritually dangerous,” he said.

He went further to recommend accountability measures for prophets who disseminate baseless claims. “Prophets who make these kinds of assertions should be held responsible for the panic and confusion they spread. Authorities, including the police, might need to summon them for questioning to ensure that the public is not misled,” Kumchacha asserted.
