The Chief Operating Officer of Panoramic Synergy Enterprises  Limited (PSE), Alberta Newman Barabu, said there is a strategic compass for leaders, regulators and innovators to focus on AI and make it a conerstone in their endeavours.

He said this at the launch of a book on artificial intelligence (AI) in Accra recently.

The book, titled “AI Leveraging ISO Standards, Best Practices & Technology Platforms,” aims to guide organisations in adopting AI responsibly and efficiently.

Objective

Ms Barabu explained that the publication would help bridge the gap between emerging AI technologies and internationally accepted standards.

She said it was designed to support decision-makers in aligning innovation with compliance, efficiency and ethical considerations.

The Head of Technical Delivery Services at Panoramic Synergy Ent Ltd, Oluwafemi Olujare, said the company was primarily an AI-focused technology solutions firm.

Mr Olujare said the firm specialised in IT solutions, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), cybersecurity, and AI-integrated services.

He explained that the company also develops AI platforms such as AI-powered GRC and agriculture platform, as well as other AI-driven solutions.

Mr Olujare said the standard provided a framework built on key principles to guide organisations in deploying AI responsibly.

Adoption

He stressed that AI was already widely used across industries and daily activities.

“Most people use AI several times a week, but often limit it to asking questions, even though it can do much more,” he said.

Mr Olujare added that AI tools were increasingly being integrated into business operations, including finance, security and enterprise systems.

Innovation

He said the company was also involved in training, AI model development and deployment, including solutions on cloud platforms.

Mr Olujare added that the firm offered free AI fundamental training sessions to organisations to promote adoption.

He noted that the company had developed tools such as a CISO AI Assistant to support risk assessment and compliance monitoring.

The platform, he explained, provided insights, analytics and automated processes to improve organisational security and decision-making.

During an interactive session,  the Chief Information Security Officer, Sylvia Sedo highlighted how AI had evolved over time and was transforming work processes.

“What usually would take a person some time to churn out a report, it all happened in minutes,” she said.

She added that AI was being widely applied in marketing, sales, content creation and finance.

Miss Sedo, however, stressed the need for human supervision to review and validate AI-generated outputs.

Responsibility

Speaking at the event, the Head of Security Operations Centre for the National Information Technology Agency, Mr Benjamin Quarcoo called for responsible use of AI systems.

“Whilst we are adopting AI we need to make sure our systems are secure,” he said.

He added that organisations must prioritise risk management, accountability and transparency to ensure continuous improvement.

The launch forms part of efforts by PSE’s to contribute to discussions on digital transformation and standards in Ghana.

The event brought together stakeholders from the technology, business and policy sectors to explore practical approaches to AI adoption.
