Trading data for the 7,177th session, held on March 24, 2026, revealed significant declines in banking and insurance stocks, while Benso Palm Plantation PLC maintained its historic triple-digit price level achieved in the previous session.
Total volume of shares traded for the session reached 1,754,120, with aggregate value hitting GH¢8,103,202.93.
BOPP Holds Firm at GH¢100
Benso Palm Plantation PLC (BOPP) maintained its historic milestone, holding steady at GH¢100.00 with no price change. The agricultural sector star, which became the first Ghanaian stock to cross the GH¢100 barrier in Thursday’s session, saw 1,000 shares change hands, contributing GH¢100,000 to total market value.
The stock’s closing bid price of GH¢100.00 and offer price of GH¢110.00 suggest continued bullish sentiment among investors.
Financial stocks suffer heavy losses
The banking and financial services sector bore the brunt of Tuesday’s sell-off. Ecobank Ghana PLC (EGH) plunged by GH¢5.38 to close at GH¢50.52, representing one of the steepest declines of the session.
Fan Milk PLC (FML) tumbled by GH¢1.53 to close at GH¢13.79, while Societe Generale Ghana PLC (SOGEGH) shed GH¢0.87 to GH¢7.86. SIC Insurance Company PLC (SIC) declined by GH¢0.45 to GH¢4.09, and Ecobank Transnational Inc. (ETI) fell GH¢0.23 to GH¢2.22.
Cal Bank PLC (CAL) dropped GH¢0.02 to GH¢0.75, while Enterprise Group PLC (EGL) edged down GH¢0.02 to GH¢12.11. Scancom PLC (MTNGH) slipped GH¢0.03 to GH¢6.50, despite being the most actively traded counter with 605,217 shares changing hands, contributing GH¢3,935,884.02 to total market value.

Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC (RBGH) remained unchanged at GH¢5.38, while Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) held steady at GH¢7.85. Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC (SCB) closed flat at GH¢79.25, and TotalEnergies Marketing Ghana PLC (TOTAL) remained at GH¢39.80.
Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC (GGBL) closed unchanged at GH¢15.94, while Unilever Ghana PLC (UNIL) held at GH¢28.46. NewGold (GLD) remained unchanged at GH¢546.00.
