Rev Obofour has addressed allegations of domestic abuse in his marriage to Queen Ciara
General Overseer of the Anointed Palace Chapel, Rev Isaac Kwaku Antwi (Obofour), has addressed ongoing social media allegations of domestic abuse in his marriage to Queen Ciara.
Recently, some individuals accused Rev Obofour of beating his wife to the point being hospitalised.
Responding to the claims while preaching to his congregation, Rev Obofour strongly denied the allegations.

Narrating what actually happened, Rev Obofour explained that his wife, Queen Ciara, had an accident while cleaning their bathroom floor.
“I was with some of my junior pastors in my house at Spintex when I heard mommy shouting in the bathroom. She was cut by one of the metal hooks we use to hang our towels. When we got there, she was bleeding, so we had to take her to the hospital.
“I don’t know what some people want from me, to fabricate the whole story and make it look like I was involved. Meanwhile, I was with four people in my hall when it happened, so how is it possible for me to hurt her when I was with them?” he said.
Rev Obofour also addressed another wave of criticism on social media, where supporters of the late Lumba’s first wife, Akosua Serwaa, criticised him for comments he made regarding controversies surrounding the singer’s death.

According to him, his statement that the late musician’s decision to settle with two wives before his passing was “not new” was misunderstood.
He urged Ghanaians to stop what he described as unwarranted criticism.
Following the backlash, Rev Obofour apologised to the group identified as ‘Team Legal Wives’, clarifying that his comments were taken out of context.
“They have really insulted me. I didn’t know they were that mean. It is their responsibility to address what I said that pained them. If they think my statement was wrong, I am sorry for that,” he added.
