There are reports of exchanges between sachet water vendors and the public, following an increase in prices of sachet water in parts of the Capital, Accra.
Some members of the public are not happy about the situation and have voiced their open indignation at the move, calling on the authorities to reign-in the illegalities by some of the water vendors.
It would be recalled that when Sachet water producers threatened to raise prices of the commodity, government asked the association to ‘stay the move’ as it engages them for an amicable settlement.
Some have however, defied the government and gone ahead to increase the prices, sparking widespread discontent.
Radio Ghana reporter, Lenus Nti spoke with some vendors about the current pricing hullabaloo.
The public is calling on government to intervene, by convening a stakeholders meeting to agree on a fixed price.
