In a press release dated September 5, MultiChoice stated that while it remains open to dialogue through the government’s Working Committee, no commitment has been made to lower fees. The company emphasized that any pricing decision must protect the viability of its services.

But the Minister isn’t buying it. Taking to social media, Sam George accused MultiChoice of disrespecting Ghanaians and reneging on earlier discussions. He revealed that the company had previously requested a pause in enforcement while negotiations continued—only to now deny any agreement.

The standoff has sparked widespread public interest, with millions of subscribers watching closely. Sam George reiterated that Ghana welcomes business—but only from companies that respect its laws and institutions.
