Ghana’s premier rap event, Rapperholic, is taking its first-ever leap onto an international stage with a scheduled debut in London in 2026. Sarkodie, the multi-award-winning rapper and founder of the annual concert, confirmed the news during Fameye’s London show on November 9, 2025, sparking excitement among fans in the British capital.
The announcement revealed that the 2026 edition will feature an all-star lineup, including some of Ghana’s top music acts such as Black Sherif, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and R2Bees. This expansion marks a significant milestone in the show’s history, which has been running for over a decade.
The London debut comes on the heels of a landmark 2025 edition that relocated Rapperholic from Accra to Kumasi for a special “Homecoming” event, celebrating Sarkodie’s roots. The Kumasi concert, held on September 27 at Baba Yara Sports Stadium, turned the city into a festival ground. In the weeks leading up to the show, excitement spread through viral rehearsal clips, citywide posters, and social media chatter.
In an unprecedented move to engage the community, Sarkodie paid homage to the Asantehene and participated in a massive health walk with fans through Kumasi, amplifying the anticipation. Despite heavy rainfall on the night of the concert, fans braved the elements, singing and dancing as emerging artists like Hindu and Kweku Bany opened the show.
The stage was then set for performances by crowd favourites Efya, Kweku Smoke, Kweku Flick, and Oseikrom Sikani, culminating in Sarkodie’s highly anticipated appearance. The show combined high-energy performances, visual effects, and interactive moments that kept the audience enthralled throughout the evening.
With Rapperholic now extending beyond Ghanaian borders, the 2026 London edition promises to cement the event as not just a national but an international celebration of Ghanaian rap music, bringing the country’s rich hip-hop culture to fans across the globe.
