The Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) management has conducted a tour across selected districts in three regions, including Volta, Bono and Bono East.

The one-week monitoring and supervision exercise was part of efforts to ensure effective implementation of the programme and adherence to approved operational standards.

The monitoring exercise, conducted from January 26 to 30, 2026, focused on the inspection of kitchen equipment used by caterers, assessment of eating utensils, and verification of hygiene and sanitation practices at feeding centres.

The team also reviewed data on daily feeding activities, including beneficiary numbers and meal consistency, to ensure accurate reporting and accountability.

In addition, the exercise assessed the level of cooperation and coordination between caterers and school authorities, including timely meal preparation, in order not to interfere with instructional hours.

“The GSFP monitoring team observed commendable efforts by many caterers and schools in maintaining acceptable hygiene standards and ensuring pupils are served nutritious meals.”
