Delta North Senator Ned Nwoko has made it clear that his marriage to actress Regina Daniels has reached an irreversible point, stating that he has no intention of reconciling with her or welcoming her back into his home. According to the lawmaker, the situation deteriorated to a level where communication between them had completely broken down, and he is currently not engaged in any conversations with her.
Nwoko shared a lengthy explanation on Instagram on Tuesday, giving his side of events and outlining what he believes led to the collapse of their relationship. Along with the statement, he included screenshots of what he described as the final WhatsApp exchange between them, dated October 17. He said the release of the message was meant to demonstrate a clear ultimatum he had issued concerning what he sees as an urgent need for Regina to undergo therapeutic intervention.
In his account, the senator claimed that Regina’s behaviour had changed drastically over time and attributed her actions to the influence of hard drugs. He alleged that this had resulted in several disturbing episodes, including outbursts and unpredictable conduct that made it difficult for him to continue managing the situation.
To justify why he shared the WhatsApp conversation, Nwoko explained that it was necessary to present a timeline of what occurred and to dispel assumptions about ongoing communication between them. He stressed that he has completely withdrawn from direct engagement with her and is focused only on encouraging her to seek professional help.
The statement from his team added that the senator has distanced himself from every allegation Regina has levelled against him, including claims relating to substance use and sexual misconduct. According to him, these accusations have no basis in reality and cannot be proven.
Nwoko’s message portrays a relationship that, in his view, has gone beyond repair due to unresolved issues and escalating tensions. He maintains that the only priority at this stage is for Regina Daniels to receive the therapy he has repeatedly urged her to pursue.
