A Volta Regional Youth Organiser hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Emmanuel Senyo Amekplenu, has pledged to support all members of the party’s youth wing, Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON), across various tertiary institutions with seed funds to help manage their operational expenses.
He made this promise following a plea from members during the handover ceremony and orientation of freshers at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) campus wing of TESCON over the weekend.
Speaking as the Special Guest of Honour, Senyo shared insights on the impact of TESCON activities on his personal growth as a young politician.
He highlighted vital skills such as public speaking, effective political messaging, and strategic communication as tools that have remained central to his political career.
He also recounted how he was inspired by the former National Youth Organiser, Sammy Awuku, whose leadership provided him with valuable insights into party organisation and grassroots mobilisation.
Currently serving as an Aide to the National Treasurer of the party, Senyo Amekplenu underscored the importance of good corporate governance and sound financial management within the youth wing.
He therefore directed that, as a matter of urgency, all TESCON institutions in the Volta Region open bank accounts to manage and save funds for their operations.
He further pledged a seed capital of One Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHS 1,000) to each recognised TESCON institution in the region.
Senyo reiterated his commitment to the rejuvenation of the party’s youth wing in the Volta Region and called on all party youth to support his bid to re-energise the youth front toward victory in 2028.
