Dancehall artist Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., has publicly issued a formal apology to artist manager Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog, following a controversial social media episode from 2022.

In an official statement dated April 30, 2025, and personally signed by Shatta Wale, the musician expressed regret over a series of posts he made on November 2, 2022, which many interpreted as accusing Bulldog of involvement in the murder of music executive Fennec Okyere.

According to the statement, Shatta Wale clarified that the posts were misunderstood and never meant to suggest that Bulldog confessed to having a role in the tragic killing of Fennec, also known as Fenicks.
