The Ghanaian entertainment industry has been hit with fresh controversy after socialite-turned-musician Showboy launched a scathing attack on rap icon Sarkodie.

In a fiery video posted on September 26, 2025, Showboy accused Sarkodie of deliberately sidelining him from the highly anticipated Rapperholic: The Homecoming Edition concert. According to him, Sarkodie only extends support to artistes who submit to his authority — a standard Showboy insists he will never meet.

Showboy said Sarkodie’s concert lineup, which features names like Kwaku Smoke and other rising acts, was proof that the rapper avoids working with artistes who maintain their independence. Branding himself as a “boss,” Showboy argued that his refusal to play along with Sarkodie’s influence was the reason for his exclusion.
