Controversial Ghanaian musician Showboy and his former signee, Kaytee, have both been remanded into police custody for two weeks after a violent encounter between the two turned bloody.
The Oda Magistrate Court in Ghana’s Eastern Region issued the ruling on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, after footage of the brutal altercation made rounds online.
The clash reportedly stemmed from a heated disagreement that spiraled out of control, ending with Showboy allegedly biting off part of Kaytee’s ear. Kaytee, on the other hand, is said to have stabbed Showboy in the back during the fight.
The disturbing events have since drawn significant attention on social media.
Ironically, following the court appearance, Showboy was captured on video addressing the youth, urging them to avoid violence when resolving disputes.
He stressed the importance of using lawful and peaceful channels in settling conflicts. However, in a twist of self-awareness, he admitted that he himself struggles to follow that advice.
The “Adanko Gang Bosa” artist’s statement has sparked mixed reactions online, with some accusing him of hypocrisy, while others called for anger management help for both parties involved.
