A serious accident on the Asamankese-Suhum road at Brekumanso could have turned catastrophic had it not been for the swift response of firefighters.

A Nissan Frontier veered off the road, crashed into a tree, and burst into flames, igniting a bushfire.

Firefighters from Asamankese, led by Station Officer II Aboagye Ernest, rushed to the scene, with backup from the Suhum Fire Station. Their quick intervention prevented the fire from spreading further, successfully bringing it under control by 13:45 hours.
